Well projects

Well Drilling Services

WellDrillingQuote.com is not a drilling contractor. This page explains the kinds of well projects visitors submit here, so you can recognize your own situation and send the request to independent providers that may serve your area.

What you can submit here

Well work covers a wide range of projects, and the words used to describe them vary by region and by contractor. You do not need to identify the right term. Choose the closest category, or submit the request as “Not sure” and describe the situation in plain language.

Every project is reviewed and priced by an independent provider. Nothing on this site is a technical recommendation, and no page here can tell you what a specific property requires.

Existing well service requests

Not every request involves drilling. Property owners often submit issues with an existing well: less water than before, a system that will not maintain pressure, a well that has not been used in years, or a well that simply needs to be looked at by a professional before a sale or renovation. Describe what you have noticed, without trying to diagnose the cause. The provider will determine what needs to be evaluated.

Other well projects

If your project does not fit any category above — a second well, a well for a shop or outbuilding, or a project you are still scoping — submit it as an “Other well project” and include as much plain-language detail as you can.

What information is useful when you request a quote

  • The ZIP code where the work would happen
  • Whether there is already a well on the property
  • What the water will be used for
  • The type of property and its current state
  • Your general timeframe

Costs and requirements are project-specific. To understand what tends to influence a provider's number, read about well drilling cost factors, or see how to request a well drilling quote.
