What to have ready

The single most useful detail. It determines which providers could realistically serve the project.
General project type
New well, replacement, an issue with an existing well, deepening, abandonment, agricultural, commercial — or 'Not sure'.
Property type
A house, a home under construction, farm or agricultural land, a commercial property, or vacant land.
Timeframe
Whether you're ready now, working toward a date, or still researching. All answers are fine.
Brief description
A few plain sentences about the property and what you'd like done. No technical detail needed.
Contact information
Name, phone and email, so a provider can follow up with you directly.

Questions Worth Asking a Provider
Once a provider contacts you, the conversation is between you and that business. These questions tend to make two quotes comparable.

- What could change once work begins, and how is that handled?
- Who is responsible for permits and required documentation?
- What records or paperwork will I receive when the work is finished?
- Is closing or capping an old well part of this scope?
- What does the schedule look like, and what could move it?
